79/365 - Rear View Forward

Photo

Thanks to the iPhone's excellent built-in HDR (high dynamic range) option on itss camera, this single photo clearly shows both the bright exterior through the windshield as well as my reflection in the visor mirror inside the dark car. Rox was driving on our way home from Lanikai Beach yesterday (78/365 - Recharging) and I got the idea to see if I could angle the visor in such a way that I could shoot both my reflection and the windshield without seeing the iPhone. This is my second try. The first try I was looking at the road instead of the camera reflected in the visor mirror.

75/365 - My View

Technically I missed my 365 posting "yesterday" because it's 1:30am and I'm still up working on the client project that didn't get finished last night. So while I'm uploading over 7,000 images that I just finished batch processing, I'm skipping the "self-portrait" theme for this post and grabbing the last photo I've taken on my iPhone. It's the view from my desk, across our lanai (deck), toward our side yard Hope to be back to the self-portrait tomorrow.

36/365 YAPP

Yet Another Palm Photo (YAPP) taken yesterday while laying in a beach park just outside Lahaina, Maui, on our way to the Maui Open Studios Opening Reception (http://rsr.me/mauiopen). No pics taken today as we rushed around Lahaina, Kihei, and Wailea trying to get to all the open studios we wanted to see. Below are links to just a few of those artists that have websites:

34/365 - Another Peek-a-Boo

Photo

I know... I know... YAPP (Yet Another Palm Photo) but it's all I had time for tonight as I was rushing to get ready to hop to Maui early tomorrow morning. And, this isn't from the beach. It's sunset at our house shot through the palm trees outside our front door. I especially like this particular frond because of it's spots. It's probably not the healthiest frond on the tree but it's beautiful with the sun behind it.

End of the first month of my first 365. I've gotten farther than I thought I would on my first 365 but I've also started to get a bit bored... It's been easy and relatively fun working within the confines of my self-imposed rules of only shooting with an iPhone, only editing with an iPhone or iPad, and only uploading/posting via iPhone or iPad. It's just that I don't have time to explore the subject matter that I find interesting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about being able to shoot iPhone photos on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world (Lanikai and Kailua). I'd just like to have the time to do more "Digital Mashups" like I did earlier in the series. There's 11 months left. Still looking forward to seeing what happens during this project.
